A report (original in PDF format) describing the results of an archaeological investigation carried out on the site of the proposed construction of the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool. Marked as 'Draft version 1.3'. Produced by Headland Archaeology North West (commissioned by Waterman Group on behalf of the Isle of Man Government). 107 pages. The main author of the report is Dr. Mark Adams. The site reviewed is the area of Princes Dock and Princes Half-Tide Basin in Liverpool. The report summarises the project, the site location and archaeological background to the site, describes the methodology used, and findings of the investigation. The report contains maps and images of the work and archaeology found. The report includes descriptions of archaeology related to former phases and remodelling of the docks, including those by Dock Surveyors John Foster Senior and Jesse Hartley (1820s), by George Fosberry Lyster (1860s) and hydraulic dock machinery from the 1940s.
